Team Training Command of the Nigerian Air Force,
Kaduna, has emerged winner of the 8th Air Force games in Katsina State.
No fewer than 750 athletes participated in
13 different events including football during the competition.
The Training Command won 21 gold medals, 15
silver and 13 bronze to clinch the first position.
The Nigerian Air Force headquarters command,
Abuja, claimed second position with 19 gold medals, 13 silver medals and 13
bronze at the tournament.
The Logistics Command, Lagos, was third by
winning 12 gold medals, eight silver and 17 bronze medals.
The Tactical Air Command, Makurdi, claimed fourth
position by winning seven gold medals, 17 silver and 19 bronzes.
The Mobility Command, Yenagoa, was fifth by
winning five gold medals, 10 silvers and four bronzes.
The sports men and women were decorated with the
medals by the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadiq
Abubakar, Gov. Aminu Masari
of Katsina State, Air Vice Marshal K. G Lar.
Trophies were presented to the winning teams
during the closing ceremony.
The Training Command received nine trophies, NAF
Headquarters Command, eight trophies, Logistics Command, six, while Mobility
and Tactical Air Command, got one trophy each.
