First, don't get confused about the purpose of this opinion. I'm the least interested in who wins what in USA. Trump or Clinton, US would always load it over global communities that refused to accurately identify their purpose in life. In US there's a system and the person in charge have little to do with how the system impact the rest of the world.
Of course, the President may be the global image of the US. That's good for the Americans but, to you and me that image is some some sort of anaesthetic we get administered with to withstand the pain of whatever procedure the US may have in mind for us. With charismatic and amiable faces like Bill Clinton and Barack Obama you actually look forward for your trip to hell when the US tell you to. With the 'Bushes' and Trump you cringe at the idea. That's my idea of the American presidency. Head or tail, you lose! And yes, with Trump we are going to have it raw.
The purpose of this opinion is to expose a fraud that may pass unnoticed even with the enormous opportunity it came along with to solve for good one of the most intricate schemes on which many Nigerians are hopelessly hooked on - the falsity of fake prophesies which gave birth to fake Ministries living fat on the sweat of gullible Nigerians.
Of recent, no 'man of God' was caught with pants down with a false prophesy as T. B. Joshua, a 'Pastorprenuer' was caught with his prophesy of a 'Clinton winner'. Relying heavily on CNN rather than any divine medium, the Pastor predicted Hillary Clinton would win the US election. He even went further to predict problems she would face as President. Pastor Joshua is always good at making making easy 'prophesies'. Yes, he 'prophesied' President Buhari would win Nigeria's presidential election (as if it was a brainer).
Now that Donald Trump has pulled a stunning upset by pulling a rabbit (this may even be an elephant) out of the hat, my question is, would there still be prophesies from the factory of this Pastor despite this blunder and would he apologise to his followers and tell them what went wrong with his 'heavenly network' that he couldn't receive reliable results of the American polls. When he predicted that Buhari would win Nigeria's presidency, I opined that even a 'Sunday Christian' or 'Friday Muslim'....in fact, an atheist could predict so and come out a winner because everything pointed to that direction.
I've always been amazed by the ease with which people got fleeced by numerous enterprising 'men of God' despite daily incidences of pastors and Alfas being busted when their schemes go wrong or when an angry accomplice who feel cheated decide to go public with the shady details of the 'miracles' being used to enslave gullible followers. Everyday one would read about fake terminally ill people, barren women etc cured by cunning businessmen using a false closeness to God as a bait.
One is left wondering, why such a heavy reliance on unconventional modes of communication with God when there are cheaper and more realistic modes? For instance, why should a businessman rush to a 'man of God' to resolve issues of declining market or profits when there are easy means of assessing the business temperature to know what the problem is. And why do you have to spend so much for the 'consultancy'? Without fear of being contradicted I would say there's no high profile 'man of God' on the Nigerian soil that's not worth 10x more than the richest member of his flock.
Amazingly, despite the obscene opulence that's e life of these pastors, still the flock maintain their flashy Bombardier Jets of the 'men of God', their limousines and mansions all in the hope of benefiting from one miracle or another. Sometime I even find the fate of the gullible flock as deserving. Mostly it's mental laziness that deliver people into he hands of such scheming 'men of God'. People dream of getting rich without working hard, why shouldn't somebody harness your dream and turn it into his reality.
Whatever, Donald Trump is the American President-elect. I know that in most schemes like this it's blasphemy to ask questions. Nobody in the church would dare ask why this one refuse to fly but, that's not saying one shouldn't keep his offering until the Pastor earn his confidence again with a serious prophesy that would look like a prophesy not just a political calculation.
