Governor Masari lays foundation for N2billion estate in Katsina, Daura and Funtua

Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari has laid the foundation stone for 500 housing units to be constructed in Katsina by private developer, Safaz Shelter and Property Nigeria Limited.

The governor while speaking at the occasion promised that his administration would remove all obstacles to the speedy completion of the new estate.

Governor Masari assured his administration’s preparedness to support any individual or group with initiatives that would change the lives of the people for the better.

In an interview with newsmen in Katsina, the Special Adviser to the State Governor on Foreign Relations and Investment, Alhaji Ibrahim Zakari, said the coming of the private property developer is part of the major successes of the recent economic development summit organized by the government to attract local and foreign investors.

Mr. Zakari stated that the firm would spend over two billion naira on three housing estates in Katsina, Daura and Funtua across the state.

The property development company would construct 500 houses in Katsina and 100 each in Daura and Funtua within one year. He said.

Earlier, the Managing Director of the firm, Alhaji Shuaibu Zakari Isah, said the estate in Katsina would be made up of 200 units of two bedroom semi-detached bungalow, 200 units of three bedroom semi-detached bungalow and 100 units of four bedroom detached bungalow which  prospective beneficiaries could afford through regular installment payments.
