The newly promoted Katsina United FC will take the NPFL by storm according it's assistant coach Baldwin Bazuaye.

Mr. Bazuaye who joined the Katsina club from Mighty Jets explained that the technical team is arranging young lads who wants to make the club great and as well make name for themselves.

The management of the club led by Alhaji Aminu Balele Kurfi has thrown its weight behind the technical team and everything possible is being done to assemble a crack squad for the season. He said.

The assistant coach also stated that apart from young players, they have also identified and considered some experienced, talented players that had been added into the team to give it the required balance and depth.

“We are quietly working on the players we are considering for the new season. I want to assure everyone that Katsina United will take the league by storm.

“Katsina United will emerge as one of the best clubs in the NPFL. The government and people of the state are fully in support of the club.

“The club chairman Aminu Kurfi is a wonderful man. He knows the business of football like the back of his hand and has been very supportive,” he noted.

Katsina United held Niger's champions to a 2-2 draw during their pre-season tour which is a good omen for the team.

The players were exposed to international football and they will put the experience to good use when the league begins.

“For now we are the only club that has travelled outside Nigeria for pre-season. It was a fruitful outing as we held the best club in Niger Republic to a 2-2 draw.

“We learnt a lot of things which we hope to put to good use when the league commences,” he said.
