Nasarawa United defeated the newly crowned NNL champions Katsina United 2-1 in a pre-season friendly which was played in Jos on Saturday.
The 'Solid Miners' emerged the better team throughout the match despite losing almost their entire first-team from last season. Their performance showed sign of making impact in the new season with new players.
The chairman of the club Isaac Danladi stated that the have replaced the players who have gone to other clubs with quality and are satisfied that some of them proved themselves today vs the strong Katsina United team.
“But we are still in the market to buy more players to beef up this squad.” He said.
