Katsina United have parted ways with their technical adviser, Bala Nikyu.
The newly promoted side announced that Nikyu, the former head coach of the Nigeria U-17 Women's team, agreed to leave the club on mutual agreement.
An inside source made it known to FitilaOnline that Nikyu's decision could be due the chairman's angry reaction at halftime on the team's poor performance against Akwa United.
The match against Akwa United was a disappointment as the home team went a goal down at halftime in a game that ended 1-1 draw.
A statement from the club reads "The club (Katsina United) and coach Nikyu have reached an agreement to part ways after months of working together,"
"The management wishes him well in his future endeavor and appreciates him for his services rendered to the club."
Baldwin Bazuaye, a former Nigeria international, will takes over on interim capacity pending the appointment of a new technical adviser.
Kastina United will face Niger Tornadoes in Lokoja on Sunday in the NPFL match-day 6.
