NPFL: Match Day 8 - Katsina United players to earn N200,000 each if they win against Lobi today

Katsina United players will give everything to win today's game against Lobi Stars in Makurdi to pocket a special 200,000 Naira-a-man bonus.

Chairman of the club, Aminu Balele Kurfi promised to pay each player 200,000 Naira if they win in Makurdi.

Players earn 60,000 Naira-a-man for an away win. ‘The Changi Boys’ were paid 50,000 Naira each as bonus after they recorded their first draw of the NPFL season at Niger Tornadoes though they were promised 100,000 Naira each to win the game.

The players have vowed they will pocket the super bonus by edging past hosts Lobi Stars in front of their own fans.

“The money is good and it will fire us up, but what is even more important will be the three points at stake. We want all three points in Makurdi,” said goalkeeper Dami Paul, who was outstanding at Niger Tornadoes in his second game of the season.

Katsina United are 12th on the table with eight points from six matches, while Lobi Stars are sixth with 10 points.
