Katsina needs to be more proactive. We can't wait until a case is recorded before we do the needful. You should be seen to be on top of the situation as have been doing your colleagues in Kano and Kaduna. Lockdown the State.
Katsina needs to be more proactive. We can't wait until a case is recorded before we do the needful. You should be seen to be on top of the situation as have been doing your colleagues in Kano and Kaduna. Lockdown the State.
Even the little you're doing is not publicised. I see relaxed people who seem unaware of the danger at the gate. So long a case is recorded anywhere in the country, it means Katsina isn't safe. Anybody who couldn't access Kano by tomorrow would have Katsina as his terminal. We must do everything possible to prevent the virus from breaking the wall.
Mobilise religious and traditional establishments, youth groups, NGOs and whoever wields any influence to create awareness especially about preventive measures. We can't afford a case in Katsina. Once a case is recorded, it will be, Allah Ya tsare, a catastrophe. The system can't respond to the situation appropriately.
Don't listen to those who would say such strict measures won't work in your state. Any level of compliance, no matter little, means minimizing the spread of the virus. Just be courageous as you appeared to be on security. This too is an existential threat.
