"Countries across the globe must imbibe two key WTO operational modalities, namely; consensus-based decision-making and the 'single undertaking' approach to negotiation of agreements."

The World Border Security Congress is an annual event where law enforcement agents, industry experts, academicians and IT solution providers from around the world meet and brainstorm the best way forward aimed at addressing global border challenges.

The overall objective of the conference is achieving safe and secure movement of persons and cargo/goods at border stations, seaports and airports all around the world.

This year's congress took place in Athens, Greece on 5th-7th October 2021, enabling the first in-person gathering of the international border security, management and protection community since the pandemic.

SC Sanusi T. Saulawa B.Sc, DIT, PDCS, MCMP, MIAD, MPhil, Ph.D was among the speakers, who presented a paper titled 'Trade Facilitation and National Security: The Need for Border Coordination and Cooperation'
