Commandant Ahmad Presents Letter of Credence to Governor Radda, Vows to Combat Crime and Sabotage in Katsina State

The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Katsina State Command, Commandant of Corps Aminu Datti Ahmad (fsf, MADM), officially presented his letter of credence to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Katsina State, Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda (PhD, CON), on Thursday, 16th January 2025, at Muhammadu Buhari House, Katsina.

During the meeting, Governor Radda expressed his gratitude to the Commandant General, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi (PhD, mni, OFR), for appointing Commandant Ahmad to Katsina State. He reaffirmed the government's unwavering commitment to supporting the NSCDC in its efforts to combat crime and ensure the safety and security of the state.

In response, Commandant Ahmad conveyed the appreciation of the Commandant General to the Governor for his continued support and cooperation with the NSCDC. He expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and assured the Governor of the Corps' dedication to ensuring the safety of lives, property, and critical national assets within the state. The Commandant pledged to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to rid the state of criminals and saboteurs undermining its security.

Shortly after his meeting with the Governor, Commandant Ahmad issued a stern warning to vandals, economic saboteurs, and other criminal elements to leave the state immediately, emphasizing that Katsina is no longer a safe haven for criminal activities.

The NSCDC State Commandant also highlighted several strategies to enhance the Corps' operations in Katsina, including:

Strengthening surveillance and intelligence gathering.

Proactively mitigating conflicts and disasters.

Collaborating with stakeholders to maintain law and order.

Ensuring due diligence in the enforcement of laws.

He urged members of the public to support the NSCDC by reporting any suspicious activities or movements to the nearest command office.
