In an interview with the Zuma Times, a local
media house, the 25 year old local government chairperson disclosed that her
biggest ambition is not exactly in politics, but to get married and live with
her husband.
Excerpts from the interview:
“My biggest ambition is to get married and belong to my husband’s home.”
“I truly look forward to seeing the day that the Almighty Allah will make this dream come true for me.”
“As for politics, I leave everybody to say their opinions, which they are entitled to. I have the capacity to respond appropriately to all situations.”
Hindatu Umar is the first woman and the youngest
person to hold the position of Local Government chairperson in Argungu Local
Government of Kebbi state.
Until her appointment, Ms Hindatu was the deputy
chairman, but was promoted by the state governor, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku Bagudu,
when the tenure of the former local government chairman expired.
