The Chief of Air staff, Air Marshall Sadiq Baba
Abubakar announced on Monday that the Nigerian Air Force is to establish a
Forward Observation Base in Daura and Katsina.

Marshall Sadiq stated this while speaking at the opening ceremony of the 8th
Air Force games in Katsina, he said the commitment of the force towards
enhancing security across the country was total, and that the bases would
position the NAF to most appropriately contribute to enhancing security in the
North West.
“We have contributed meaningfully to the
restoration of peace and stability in North East.” He said.
He further stated that NAF would continue to work
under operation Delta Safe framework and if necessary through air interdiction
to restore the serene environment where people could go out fishing like their
ancestors did in the past.

“Those who are bent on unleashing destruction in
the mangrove forest will no longer have a hiding place,” he affirmed.
