Six arrested for selling registered SIM Cards
The Enforcement Unit of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has arrested six suspects for selling registered SIM Cards in Kano.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the suspect were apprehended during a raid at the Farm Centre, GSM Market and Yankura near Sabon Gari market.
The Enforcement Unit purchased registered SIM Cards from each of the suspected sellers before the arrest was made.
The suspects had since been handed over to the police for proper investigations according to one Abdu of the commission.
He also noted that most of the kidnapping and other related cases could be linked to people patronizing registered SIM Cards which did not bear the names of their original owners.
