The Katsina State House of Assembly has passes no fewer than 28 bills into law since it was inaugurated on 5th June, 2015.
It was gathered that the state governor had assented to 23 of the bills while five were awaiting his assent.
A breakdown of the bills showed that 14 of them were passed between June 2015 and 16th May, 2016.
The Chief Press Secretary to the state assembly, Abdurashid Kuraye, who confirmed this to our source in Katsina revealed that the house had had 323 sittings from June 2015 to date.
The assembly clocked no fewer than 223 sittings in its first legislative year thus clearly surpassing the prescribed statutory prescribed 185 sittings per annum. He said

Kuraye added that from June 2016 till date (7th December 2016) the assembly had recorded 100 sittings.
