Katsina state governor signed two memorandum of understanding MOU for the provision of solar powered electricity projects in the state.
One of the MOU was signed for the supply of 75 megawatts, to be located in kankiya which the Director of "the Pan Africa Solar", Mr Jim Howlett signed on behalf of the company.
Alhaji Muhammad Mahmoud Kanti, the state commissioner of Resources Development signed the second MOU for the supply of electricity through solar diesel hybrid project to Umar Musa Yar'adua, Hassan Usman Polytechnic and Orthopaedic hospital and again Mr Jim Howlett signed on behalf of the company.
Briefing newsmen, the commissioner said the second MOU was for the supply of 5 megawatts of solar powered electricity projects to the three institutions.
He further announced that the construction work on the two projects are expected to commence by the middle of this year.
The solar powered electricity project at kankiya would cost over 140 million dollars, according to Mr Jim Howlett
Mr. Jim Howlett expressed gratitude to the state government for finding their company worthy of executing the two projects in the state.
