The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, discovered N4b kept in two separate accounts at the GTB Plc through a tip-off by another whistle-blower.
The funds suspected to be proceeds of crime were allegedly revealed to belong to a former deputy governorship candidate in Niger State.
According to a source, two companies - Katah Property & Investment Limited and Sadiq Air Travel Agency were said to have been used by the suspect.
The two companies have N2b fixed in its deposit account domiciled in the bank.
Suspected owner of the account and the account officer are currently at large.
