The Director General, NYSC, Brig. General Suleiman Zakari Kazaure disclosed that starting from October, 2016, biometric clearance for Corps members will be operational in all the states in
Nigeria after successful test running in Lagos and FCT.

The
announcement came during a workshop with the theme "Ensuring
accountability Corps activities using ICT".
Chief
Anthony Ani who represented the Director General said that the biometric
verification technique would cover community development service attendance,
place primary assignment, monitoring the monthly clearance for personal
allowance and winding up final clearance.
Brig. Gen. Kazaure stated that the exercise
enthrone transparency and accountability in line with anti-corruption war.
