Katsina Teaching Hospital to be ready in less than three years - Governor Masari

Katsina State Governor, Rt. Aminu Bello Masari, said the proposed Katsina Teaching Hospital would be ready in the next two to three years.

During the public presentation on the proposed Katsina Teaching Hospital in Katsina, Governor Masari reiterated that the hospital would be ready in less than three years, based on the preliminary estimates presented to the state government and key stakeholders in the state by the project resource persons.

The Governor said “The direction of our administration is to involve the people, engage the people and have inputs from the people. We want the people of Katsina State to claim ownership of what we are doing; we want to have projects that have ownership beyond the government of today that is why we said in this type of business, there is no partisan politics".

On the promise of his administration to focus on health and water among others, Masari disclosed that the government has provided 765 bore holes since its inception.

The Katsina State deputy governor, Alhaji Mannir Yakubu, who commended the wisdom and courage of Governor Masari, in the midst of scarce resource and competing demands, to embark on the important project, also applauded the governor for pursuing vigorously the restoration agenda in the health and other sectors.
