The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released results of the first set of candidates, who enrolled for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) last Saturday.
JAMB's Head of Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin stated that the results were released “within 24 hours of the examination and candidates are to check their e-mail addresses or visit the board’s website for their results.”
Dr Benjamin said a total of 742,906 candidates participated in the examination on Saturday, 13th and Monday 15th May, 2017, while 401,292 candidates were expected to write the exam yesterday, making the number to over 1,144,198 out of the 1,718,425 candidates registered for the examination this year. The 2017 UTME examination would end on Saturday 20th May, 2017.
