Masari suspends recruitments, projects, promotion of staff in Katsina State


The Katsina State Governor Rt. Hon Aminu Bello Masari has suspended recruitment of new staff, promotion of all form of staff in both state and unified Local Government services

This was contained in a circular dated 22nd May from the office of the Head of Service which was signed by the permanent secretary (Admin) Alhaji Lawal Ado Dutsin-ma on behalf of Head of Civil Service of the State.

Measured Aimed at Coping With the Economic Challenges Posed by COVID-19

Sequel to the collapse of the global oil market due to challenges posed by Covid-19, His Excellency, the Governor of Katsina State, Rt Hon Aminu Bello Masari has based on expert advice directed for the review of the State 2020 approved Budget and approved other measures to conform/align with the current economic reality as per below:



Suspending of all Forms of employment except where it becomes absolutely necessary into the State Service and the Unified Local Government Service till the situation improves;

Suspending the Promotions of all categories of staff in the State and Unified Local Government Service till the situation improves;

Suspending the initiation of all forms of new Capital Projects except in a very critical sphere of public need(s)
